Driving down I-85 South, I am talking to a friend on my headset to help the time and miles pass me by. At times I am surrounded by traffic. At times I am not. This time I was in the darkness, alone. That's when I can pay a bit more attention to the night sky.

Just as I was telling my friend about an ex who just didn't get it. I saw if flash through the night sky...

It looked kinda like an off-white light tadpole swimming in and out of our atmosphere and the speed of light. So briefly, I couldn't even take my eyes off it to open the camera app in my phone.

Just as I was able to perceive it enter our atmosphere, it vanished back into the vast darkness of the universe.

As soon as it was reality, it became a memory...
